Further North, the fine sand beach of Sabwisha offers the tranquility of the Caribbean Sea next to the village of Choiseul.
Choiseul is a Quarter of Saint Lucia which is 11.97 mi² and is home about 5000 people, located on the southwestern side of the island. The main town of Choiseul goes by the same name.
It is a small fishing village, where most of the inhabitants there are self-sufficient as they grow or fish the majority of what they eat.
Sabwisha is 15-20 minutes walk from the main town which is surrounded by lush vegetation.
It is set up with a few picnic tables and benches propped under huge sea grapes which bear fruits depending on the time of the year, coconut trees and cedar trees which are perfect for those who prefer a cool stay at the beach.
At the entrance a blanket of grass partially covers the area, followed by the soft sand and refreshing sea water. The shore offers a wide open view of the blue skies decorated with oddly shaped clouds along with a distant view of the main town.
