La Maison Créole

Opened in October 2007, La Maison Creole is the largest and most authentic artifact museum in St. Lucia. Inside the home museum, you will discover tools, potteries, furniture, crafts, traditional houses, money, and many other things from generations ago.

This original place is born from Mrs Paschal’s passion for art. Since the opening of her museum, she shares and hands down the island’s heritage and traditions.

She thus establishes a link between the present Lucian way of life and the former history of the island’s population, as well as its African ancestors to whom a department of the museum is dedicated.

The Helenites were a popular Saint Lucian folk music group, led by Clement Springer. They were playing strong calypso and other Caribbean music influences with several vocalists singing together. The Helenites were, along with The Hewanorra Voices, one of the island’s earliest popular folk stars.
